The USS Enterprise NCC-1701, the vessel that started the whole ball rolling in Star Trek: The Original Series. Launched in 2245, this Constitution-Class Starfleet vessel was famously under the command of Captain James T. Kirk for his initial five-year mission (2265-2270) and served for 40 years in total until it was deliberately destroyed above the Genesis planet to keep it out of Klingon hands.
